Group Information
Anger is a normal human emotion, but when it becomes difficult to manage, it can impact relationships, employment, recovery, and personal well-being. OCARTA’s Anger Management Group provides a supportive, peer-led environment where participants can learn practical skills to better understand emotional triggers, improve communication, and develop healthier responses to stress, frustration, and conflict.
This no-cost program is facilitated by Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialists (C-PRSS) who bring lived experience and recovery-oriented perspectives to the learning process. The group is professionally supervised by a Case Manager II (CM II) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) under supervision to ensure participants receive quality support and guidance.
Participants will explore topics such as emotional regulation, personal accountability, conflict resolution, stress management, healthy boundaries, and effective communication. Individuals who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion. This course may also satisfy requirements for courts, probation, employers, or other agencies that recognize anger management education. Participants are responsible for verifying acceptance with the referring agency when applicable.
