Group Information

 Do you want to provide peer support services to others in Recovery? This training group is for those seeking certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS). You will learn what a PRSS is and does while studying the material covered in state certification materials, and preparing for the state test. The class is 16 weeks long.

There are minimum requirements to obtain your C-PRSS: 

                          18 years of age or older

                          Be a person with lived experience with Mental Health Challenges and/or Substance Use Disorders.

                          Have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and can obtain your official transcript showing a                                graduation date.

                          Volunteer or Work at an ODMHSAS contracted site such as OCARTA.  We require a minimum of 40                              hours.
